Pomegranate Champagne Punch

Ingredients:

  • 16 ounces pomegranate juice
  • 12 ounces cranberry juice
  • 3 tablespoons cinnamon syrup
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 8 ounces citrus vodka
  • 1 (750-milliliter) bottle Champagne or sparkling wine
  • 12 ounces ginger ale
  • Garnish: pomegranate seeds, seasonal fruit, mint, rosemary, or citrus slices

Directions:

  1. Gather the ingredients.
  2. Place a frozen ice ring or large chunks of ice and some of the fresh fruit in a punch bowl.
  3. Add all of the ingredients except the wine and soda and stir well.
  4. Slowly add the ginger ale and Champagne.
  5. Garnish with pomegranate seeds and other seasonal fruit, mint, rosemary, or citrus slices.
  6. Ladle into individual serving glasses, including a few fruits in each.
  7. Serve and enjoy!

Mistletoe Margaritas

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 c. whole cranberries
  • 1/4 c. granulated sugar, divided
  • 2 tbsp. kosher salt
  • 1 wedge lime, for rim
  • 2 c. cranberry juice
  • 12 oz. silver tequila
  • 8 oz. triple sec
  • 3/4 c. lime juice, divided
  • 6 c. ice
  • Mint, for garnish

Directions:

  1. In a medium bowl, toss cranberries with 1/4 cup lime juice. Drain out lime juice, then toss with 2 tablespoons sugar. Pour onto a baking sheet to dry.
  2. Combine remaining sugar with salt on a shallow plate and mix to combine. Using the lime wedge, wet the rim of each glass, then dip in sugar salt mixture.
  3. Combine cranberry juice, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and ice in a large blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into prepared glasses and garnish with a sprig of mint and a couple sugared cranberries.

Strawberry-Citrus Sangria

  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 (750-milliliter) bottle pinot noir
  • 3/4 cup sugar, or more to taste
  • 3/4 cup orange liqueur
  • 1 pint of strawberries, thickly sliced
  • 6 ounces soda water, chilled

Place the orange and lemon slices in a pitcher.  add the wine and sugar and mix well.  Add the liqueur and mix well.  Add the strawberries.  Chill for 3 to 10 hours.  Add the soda water before serving.  Serve over ice in glasses.

Southern Spiked Sweet Tea

Ingredients:

  • 6 tea bags
  • 2 cups of boiling water
  • Pinch of baking soda
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of peach nectar
  • 6 cups of cold water
  • 1 cup of whiskey
  • Sliced peaches, optional

How to make:

Steep tea bags for 15 minutes in 2 cups of boiling water. Add a pinch of baking soda and stir in sugar until dissolved. Transfer to a pitcher and add cold water, peach nectar and whiskey. Refrigerate and chill thoroughly before serving. Serve over ice and add sliced peaches for garnish.

Old Fashioned Sweet Tea

Ingredients:

  • 6 tea bags
  • 2 cups of boiling water
  • Pinch of baking soda
  • 1.5 – 2 cups of sugar
  • 6 cups of cold water
  • Lemons and mint, optional

How to make:

This recipe is pretty standard. Steep tea bags in boiling water for 15 minutes. Add a pinch of baking soda and stir in sugar until dissolved. Transfer to a pitcher and add cold water. Refrigerate until serving. Pour over ice and add sliced lemon and mint leaves for garnish and extra flavor.

White Peach Sangria

White Peach Sangria

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of pinot grigio
  • 1 bottle of sparkling white wine (I used Prosecco)
  • 1 cup of peach schnapps
  • 1/2 cup of brandy
  • 1/2 cup of simple syrup
  • 2 large peaches sliced
  • 1 large apple sliced

How to make:

Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher. Chill and serve over ice.

(1 ltr ginger ale can be substituted for sparkling white wine.)
